When excavating highly adhesive (cohesive) cohesive soil using the earth pressure balance shield tunneling method, the cohesive soil may adhere to the cutter bit or chamber in the form of clods, causing a rapid increase in cutter torque and thrust, which can significantly reduce excavation efficiency.
Furthermore, when removing soil, there is a higher possibility of causing problems such as increased pressure on the screw conveyor or blockage.
Furthermore, the same applies when using a soil pump to remove soil; the risk of increased pump pressure and blockage in the pumping piping increases.
To resolve these issues, we developed Clean SP-R with the aim of reducing the adhesion of cohesive soil.
By using Clean SP-R as an excavation additive, it is possible to reduce the adhesion force of cohesive soil in a short time, thereby reducing the load on each excavation and soil removal-related equipment.
