Generally, bentonite stabilizing fluid is used as a drilling protection fluid. However, in order to protect the permeability of groundwater and hot spring water, it is necessary to wash away the mud cake (mud film) formed by bentonite. When drilling with a guar gum aqueous solution, due to the characteristics of guar gum described later, stable drilling is maintained at the borehole wall, and as viscosity decreases over time, mud film formation disappears, thus not damaging the aquifer structure in the ground after drilling.
